The motor hums, but the blades don't turn. I would have tried to return it, but my man decided to try to fix it and broke the housing because it doesn't come apart to clean or anything.

They,make very good fans,if you get the (Turbo-Blower-Fan),and i thought this was just a new model of that kind of (Fan),but it was not;.{{{ I have been useing there fans for about 6yrs,and i have them going 24-7--365yr,i sleep better with a fan going,for some reason?!?!?? But i STRONGLY,recomend buyiny the (Turbo),one it will blow pictures off the wall on high!! Now,this one here is more better or perfet,to move that heat and cool around your house,to save on that (Electric-Bill),it is the ideal,thing for that!! AWizard Hephzibah,Ga

I purchased the fan to move very warm air from under my built in corner desk where my computer and all of the computer gear is installed. I have an APC, router, external disk drives, etc. The fan does a great job. The adjustable speed is nice and there is a real difference in the speed when you change the control. This fan operates as quite as a fan can get when it moves this much air. My only negative observation is the fan has trouble staying in the angle position where you want it. It wants to drop to the level position. This could be a problem with this individual fan. Over all I like it and feel that it was a good solution for my problem. Oh yes, I am also going to try the fan to blow welding fumes away from my welding helmet.

WE like this fan for even quiet air circulation. A little difficult to hold in the position you want, but no big deal. Would recommend it for home use.
